One inevitable effect of God growing his kingdom is some degree of persecution for Christ’s sake. When we are called to go through persecution for righteousness’ sake, we should rejoice that we are counted worthy to suffer shame for the name of Jesus Christ. We have a special fellowship with Jesus Christ that we simply cannot enjoy in ease and prosperity. Let us we willing to suffer for Christ’s sake.
