In accordance with Naomi’s request, Ruth goes to see Boaz in the threshing floor in the barley harvest and at midnight boldly proposes marriage and redemption from Boaz. Boaz then displays his godly virtuous character as he commits to redeem and marry Ruth, regardless of if he gets to marry her or not. This displays the amazing self-sacrificial attitude that is necessary in a husband displaying the love of Christ to his wife.
