In the midst of his misery, Job was searching for how could he be made just before God. He believed it would be so, but Job did not know the New Testament message of justification by the blood of Jesus Christ. He was searching for a daysman – a mediator – who could place his hand upon both parties and reconcile the offense and divide. In the gospel, we are given the answer that Job did not have – that we have a daysman, the man Christ Jesus who reconciled us back into fellowship with Almighty God.
