As Elisha’s servant became overwhelmed after realizing they were surrounded by the Syrian army, we can oftentimes become afraid and anxious when we face formidable obstacles in our lives. In those circumstances, we need to be firmly planted and resolute in faith to trust the power and promise of God to deliver us. After Elisha’s servant saw the true reality and the Lord’s host there to battle on their behalf, he then agreed that there truly are more with us than are with them. No matter our difficulty, if the Lord is on our side, then we have more for us than any enemy we might face.
