There is so much trouble in this world that we cannot avoid, but for the child of God, we cannot let that trouble creep into our hearts. The apostles had much trouble and anxiety on the night of the crucifixion and in the coming days, but Jesus gave them a message of hope and comfort. We can’t let the trouble of this world quench the joy and peace in our heart, but should be of good cheer because Christ has overcome the world. Christ has prepared a permanent dwelling place in heaven for us, and he has promised to return to bring us back to the Father’s house. That message of hope, that we are only here for a little while before we go to be with the Lord in glory, should comfort the trouble of our hearts here in our lives.
